I will admit it. I disturbed this girl but she shared her story with us eventually. Olutoki Olayemi M. was a roommate, turned friend, turned sister who is a beautiful soul and a diligent lover of God. I hope you get some thing valuable from this. She deliberates on when she got her first call for a wedding cake.
My interest began when my family contacted a woman to bake for my uncle on his birthday. We all loved the cake. Then I had to learn more about this passion of baking.
My sister and I decided to give the woman a trial and contacted her for training. That was how I started.
There was a day when I was still learning and I got a call for a wedding cake. I thought about how I would go about it, I also thought of going to my boss for help but my sister said to me, “you’re not going anywhere, you can do it”. And I did and it came out so well and beautiful.
God bless my sisters. They supported me through it all.
Today my business is officially YEMZKakes and it has grown through passion and good work.
I started professionally in 2014 and I’m not where I used to be, I’m way better.
We are starting our cake school. As much as people think baking is easy, there are some fundamentals people need to know. This cake school is different from our cake store.
We also do kid’s party packs
