Mabel Olagesin says: Hello guys, it’s been a whiilllee!!!!! I hope you guys have been well. Today you get to learn how to use the L.A girl colour corrector in orange. L.A girl concealers come in different shades ranging from espresso to the green corrector, but we are only interested in the orange concealer.

Most ladies wear makeup to hide scars, dark circles, hyper pigmentation and the likes. More often than not, we think we cover these scars best by applying layers of foundation on our face, which is not so, because as much as you try to prime your face, if you have too much foundation on your face, it will “cake up” and might feel very uncomfortable, even to whoever is looking at you.

Now, when you have something on your face that you want to hide, it’s best to use orange toned concealers, it doesn’t even have to be L.A girl concealer, but this article will serve as a guideline for whatever product you want to use. What the orange concealer does is that it counter affects the dark colour on the area you are concealing.

So, take my hand, well continue reading in this case, as I show you how to colour correct.

  • Please note that with all concealers, less is more. Gently apply the orange concealer to the desired area(s). You can apply the concealer directly with the tube, as you can see from the picture; the tube has some sort of brush for application.
  • Blend the concealer into your skin gently with a brush or a damp beauty blender. The concealer should stay right where you need it.

  • Next thing you want to do is apply a concealer of your skin shade to the corrected parts. Again, just a little.
  • You can now go in with your foundation, and all other things you do as usual. Please note that after using the orange colour corrector, and you want to blend in your foundation, you need not swipe the foundation across your face, just dab with a damp beauty blender! This helps the foundation sit well on your skin and makes the colour corrector stay only where it is needed.
